Our Story
The journey of connecting diaspora talent with Ghana's development needs
Founding Vision
DDIG was founded by a group of Ghanaian diaspora professionals who recognized the untapped potential of diaspora expertise for national development. The vision was simple: create a structured platform to connect diaspora talent with development opportunities in Ghana.
First Projects & Registration
Successfully completed our first three pilot projects in education and healthcare. Officially registered as a non-governmental organization in Ghana, establishing our legal framework and governance structure.
Digital Platform Launch
Launched our digital talent mobilization platform, enabling diaspora professionals worldwide to register their expertise and connect with development projects in Ghana. Expanded to cover multiple sectors including technology, energy, and governance.
International Partnerships
Established formal partnerships with 15+ international diaspora organizations and development agencies. Our network grew to include professionals from 60+ countries across six continents.
Present & Future
Currently supporting 45+ active development projects across Ghana. Our focus is expanding to all 16 regions of Ghana, with emphasis on sustainable development goals and measurable impact through diaspora expertise mobilization.
